Has your HWC corroded ? Due to water issues... 
Do you live in an area that has very corrosive water, or a high mineral content? Or, you have a Rainwater tank that is made from Plastic? Well, if that is the case, you probably find that your HWC that is made from copper probably doesn't last very long. I have come across cases, where a brand new HWC (made from copper ) only lasted as little as 3 years ! Yet under normal condition probably would last 25 –35 years…
