Listing & Selling

Listing an item

Listing an item on sella is a short 4 step process.

You just click the sell button in the top nav, then select a category that matches your item. We'll step you through the process of filling in the details, setting the price and adding images.

Before the item is listed publicly you'll get a preview and a chance to alter anything. Then it's live. You can view your items you are selling in your sell section of MySella.

Want to add lots of items? We work with all leading listing management tools - TradeTools, Omins, Easylister & Auctionitis software that allows you to manage your listings with ease.

Selling an item

Once your items are listed, the plan is to sell the items.

Classified listings are easy, you list the item complete with your contact details. Visitors to the page will either email or call you, and between you, you negotiate the sale.

Auctions are easy too. You list your item and people bid on these.  You can choose to set a reserve price and/or you can choose a "buy now" price.  Buyers can sometimes make mistakes with accidental bids.

Once the reserve is met and the auction closes, we'll email you to let you know who won and what to do next. You then make contact with the buyer to let them know how you'd like to be paid.

You may decide that cash on pick up might be best, or you might prefer they deposit the money directly into your bank - its up to you and the buyer.

Once you have been paid, and the goods have been received, you both place feedback on each other.

Even though we hope it never happens, sometimes sales can go bad, whether from the buyer side or the sellers side, we recommend being as fair and reasonable as possible.
