Importing a Sella CSV file

There are several columns that you can feed directly into sella via CSV (Comma Separated Value) file. Some of these columns such as category_id, caption and description are required and the importer will not accept listings without those values.

category_id
Required
Must be a valid sella category ID. See the Sella Categories.csv file on the import page.

external_id
User-defined unique product ID, eg: myproduct001

caption
Required
1-50 chars. This field describes your product on the gallery page.

subcaption
1-50 chars.
An additional short description field that appears on the gallery page.

description
Required
1-2048 chars.
This field describes your product in detail.

new_item
TRUE or FALSE
Whether the item is labelled with the “new item” badge in the gallery view.

start_price
0.5+
The starting point for bidding on your item.

reserve_price
0.5+
The reserve price of your item when bidding.

buy_now_price
0.5+
The buy-now price if your item offers it.

restrict_to_verified_members
TRUE or FALSE
Restrict sale of this item to verified members only.

auto_relist
TRUE or FALSE
Automatically relist this item if unsold.

quantity
1-10
Number of items you have available to sell.

duration
1-14
Days this auction should run. Interchangeable with close_date.

close_date

year-month-day hour:minute
Standard format date-time field indicating when this auction should end. Interchangeable with duration.

pickup
“none”, “can” or “must”
Pickup options for your listing.

shipping_options
5=Local courier;10=Nationwide courier;

Semi-colon delimited payment option list.

send_payment_instructions
TRUE or FALSE
Send payment instructions automatically if this auction is won.
