Code of conduct
sella.co.nz wishes to create a safe and friendly place for Kiwis to buy, sell and advertise their items.
We expect visitors to our site to behave online as they would in any real store or trading situation.
Listing items
sella.co.nz expects all listings to be listed in an appropriate category and to be written in a clear and non deceptive way.
There are some items you cannot sell on sella.co.nz - generally because these are prohibited by NZ Law. A full list of banned items can be found here.
Bidding
sella.co.nz encourages you to bid on any auction you want, however we ask that you do NOT bid on your own auction. This practice is known as 'Shill Bidding' and means you are driving up the price on an item unfairly.
Language
sella.co.nz is open to all. While you have to be over 18 to sell or list an item, anyone can view the site. We ask that all written descriptions, questions and feedback be written in clean English. Our system will automatically flag unsuitable words and block or place your item, feedback or question into moderation.
Images
We expect you where possible, to upload photos that you have taken of any item you are selling. While it can be appropriate at times to use photos from magazines, websites or trade catalogues, these are often subject to copyright rules and may be removed.
Any images showing objectionable material, racism, pornography and violence will be subject to moderation and may be removed.
sella.co.nz reserves the right to remove any item or user that continues to break this Code of Conduct.
