Listing an item

Listing an item on sella is a short 5 step process. You select a category that matches your item, then pick auction or classified. We'll step you through the process of filling in the details, setting the price and adding images.

Sella.co.nz allows you to sell any item in any category as either an auction or a classified listing. An auction will allow members to bid on an item and will generally allow you to get the best market price for your item.

Classified listings are great if you are selling a number of items and wish to advertise the item, rather than sell via auction. Many stores use the classifieds to advertise their products, allowing visitors to contact them or visit their shop to purchase the items.

I've added my item, what happens now

Before the item is listed publicly you have a preview from which you can edit your listing. Once you hit confirm, it's live. That's it, nice and simple.

Our customer service team may review a listing from time to time to check it complies within our terms & conditions and is not a prohibited item.

Listing end date & auto-extend

When adding your listing you have options to run your listing for a set number of days, or you can select a specific time for your listing to finish.

All auctions on sella will automatically auto extend by two minutes if a bid is placed within the last two minutes of an auction. Auctions will continue to auto extend until there are no bids for a period of two minutes.
